Health, safety and wellbeing
at Les Roches Marbella
Health and wellbeing
Les Roches Marbella is committed to providing a safe, supportive, and balanced environment in which students can thrive both personally and academically.
Student wellbeing is supported through a combination of health services, security measures, residence support, and lifestyle opportunities designed to promote physical, mental, and emotional balance throughout the academic journey. The campus operates within a framework of continuous care, with dedicated teams overseeing accommodation support, safety, and access control.
Marbella’s favourable climate and outdoor setting further contribute to a healthy lifestyle, encouraging regular physical activity and time outdoors as part of everyday student life. Combined with on-campus support structures and security presence, these elements form an integrated approach to wellbeing that prioritises student health, safety, and overall quality of life.
Medical emergencies and health support
Medical emergencies and health-related incidents on campus are managed under continuous 24-hour security and safety supervision. Les Roches provides a free emergency medical service on campus, with paramedics arriving within minutes when requested at reception. Reception and Security staff are the primary points of contact to ensure rapid response, coordination of medical assistance, and access control across campus at all times. Outside standard office hours, all health-related incidents are handled directly by Security staff, as school premises remain under constant monitoring.
Psychological support and student counselling services
Les Roches Marbella provides internal counselling support to promote student wellbeing and mental health throughout the academic journey. Confidential counselling services are available to support students experiencing personal, emotional, or academic challenges. Support is delivered in a professional, sensitive, and non-judgemental manner, helping students manage stress, anxiety, and other concerns that may affect their wellbeing or academic performance. When additional or specialised support is required, the school works closely with external professionals to ensure appropriate and continuous care.

Academic support
Academic support is available for students with diagnosed learning differences, such as dyslexia. Students must provide documented evidence to access specialized support. Accommodations for exams, such as extra time or separate rooms, can be arranged. The school counselor collaborates with faculty to ensure appropriate support in classes and lectures.
Drugs
Les Roches Marbella maintains a zero-tolerance policy regarding drugs. The consumption, possession, or trafficking of illegal drugs is strictly prohibited, both within campus premises and outside the institution. Les Roches Marbella reserves the right to take disciplinary and legal action when necessary. Violation of this regulation will result in student suspension and may lead to expulsion.
Security and emergency management
Fire prevention and emergency evacuation
Fire safety procedures are in place to protect all occupants of campus facilities. A continuous fire alarm sounding throughout the building, accompanied by an announcement via the loudspeaker system, signals the need for immediate evacuation. Upon activation, electricity supplies should be switched off where possible, and all occupants must proceed calmly to the nearest designated fire exit. These measures are designed to ensure rapid evacuation, minimise risk, and safeguard lives in the event of an emergency.
Campus access and security
The exterior gates are equipped with Student Digital Badge access to ensure controlled and secure entry at all times. The main gate operates on a schedule and remains closed between midnight and 8:00 am. During these hours, access is limited to authorised users through the Digital Badge system, which monitors and records all movements in and out of the campus. Students without a Digital Badge will only be granted access after identification and mandatory registration with Security. These measures are in place to protect residents, maintain campus safety, and ensure that access to the campus remains secure at all times.
Student affairs
The Student Affairs team is dedicated to supporting students throughout their journey at Les Roches, from orientation to graduation. They ensure students are guided, empowered, and connected, helping them thrive both on campus and in the wider community.
By fostering a community focused on teamwork, service, and solidarity, the team helps students grow as leaders and fully engage in campus life. Students are encouraged to take leadership roles in clubs, societies, and the Student Government Association (SGA), while receiving guidance and support to navigate campus life with confidence.
The team is easily reachable by email, phone, or in person, shares updates through newsletters, and is actively involved in clubs, societies, campus events, and weekend programs. They organize excursions, sports competitions, and recreational activities, helping students explore, stay active, and build connections outside the classroom.
More than a school, Les Roches is a community where students are supported, inspired, and empowered every step of the way.
