At Abu Dhabi Hospitality Academy – Les Roches, student wellbeing is a priority and a foundation for academic success. The Academy provides a safe and supportive environment that promotes physical and mental wellbeing throughout the academic journey.
Health and wellbeing services support everyday health needs, medical situations, and the development of healthy habits. In line with UAE regulations, health insurance coverage is compulsory, and students are responsible for ensuring that their insurance remains valid while studying in the UAE and when travelling abroad.
Medical emergencies and health support
Health and wellbeing plays an important role in coordinating and planning medical care with the most appropriate healthcare services nearby. The aim is to provide medical care, counselling, and guidance in response to health-related enquiries and needs.
Health promotion and preventive action are key priorities. Throughout the semester, a range of activities is organised to raise awareness and support students in maintaining their health and overall wellbeing.

Abu Dhabi Hospitality Academy - Les Roches is committed to ensuring students have access to appropriate medical care, wellbeing support and professional guidance in a safe and supportive environment.
Medical Care & Health Support
- All students are covered under a comprehensive student health insurance plan, providing access to a wide network of healthcare providers.
- Students can receive medical consultations, treatment and referrals when required.
- Trained first aiders are available from the team on campus to respond to minor injuries or health- related concerns.
- Clear procedures are in place to manage medical situations and coordinate with external healthcare services when necessary.
Guidance, Prevention & Ongoing Support
Health promotion and preventive care are key priorities at the Academy. Throughout the semester, a range of wellbeing activities and awareness initiatives are organised to encourage healthy lifestyle choices and support students in maintaining both their physical and mental wellbeing.
Students are encouraged to seek support whenever needed, and the Student Affairs team plays an active role in providing guidance, monitoring wellbeing, and directing students to appropriate internal or external services. All support is delivered in a confidential, inclusive, and respectful manner, in line with the Academy’s wellbeing framework.
Psychological support and student counselling services
Student counselling services are available to all students at Abu Dhabi Hospitality Academy – Les Roches, providing confidential support for personal, academic, or emotional challenges such as anxiety and stress.
Counselling is delivered through a sensitive and non-judgemental approach, offering objective guidance while ensuring complete confidentiality.
Student wellbeing is closely linked to maintaining a healthy balance between social life, safety, and professional conduct. Throughout their studies, students receive ongoing guidance on responsible behaviour and resilience development, supported in coordination with the Security Department.
Psychological wellbeing is a key part of the Academy’s Health & Wellbeing approach. Support is designed to promote emotional wellbeing, early intervention, and resilience throughout the academic journey.
From February 2026, students will have access to regular wellbeing sessions delivered in collaboration with a dedicated Health & Wellness partner. These include:
- One-to-one wellbeing check-ins
- Early identification of mental or emotional concerns
- Stress management and coping strategies
- Mental health awareness sessions
- Meditation and relaxation practices

Security and emergency management
Emergency response
Student support in emergencies includes:
Campus security provides 24-hour coverage, available on call as well +971 547093619 ensuring a safe environment at all times. After hours and on weekends, Security team and the Academy team are trained as first responders to:
- Provide basic first aid care
- Respond to mental health emergencies
- Transport for sick students under certain conditions(Arrange by Concierge)
Their duties include:
- Securing the campus
- Ensuring safety procedures
- Professional integrity
The Academy maintains direct operational contacts with:
- Local police command
- Local fire brigade command
- Regional hospitals
These authorities are responsible for emergency response.
Safety on campus
In 2025, the UAE is ranked as the 1st safest country in the world.
The campus complies with fire safety standards established by ADCD (Abu Dhabi Civil Defence).
The Academy has appointed Emirates Captain, a specialized Fire and Life Safety service provider, to conduct monthly inspection and preventive maintenance and stand-by support on call. Additionally, our main Fire alarm system is integrated with a Hassantuk panel, which is configured to interface with the Abu Dhabi Civil Defence system (ADCD) which provide 24/7 monitoring for academy and provide immediate response.
The Academy operates within a multi-layered safety framework, including:

- Permanent liaison with local authorities
- 24/7 emergency readiness
Student support in emergencies includes:
- Immediate on-site supervision
- Health & Wellbeing leadership involvement
- Psychological support and individual follow-up
Campus security adheres to UAE authorities regulations and is governed by internal policies, including the Student Code of Conduct, Health and Wellbeing Policy, Substance Abuse and Addiction Policy, Sexual Misconduct Policy, Residence Life Housing Policy, and Video Surveillance Policy.
Student affairs
The Student Affairs team supports students throughout their daily life in Abu Dhabi, helping to ensure that each semester is engaging, well organised, and enriching. Students may contact the team by email, phone, or by visiting the office in person.
Student Affairs provides assistance with UAE residence permit procedures for students holding a study visa, as well as support with a range of non-academic administrative matters.
The team also keeps students informed about campus life and local activities through regular newsletters and email communications. In addition, Student Affairs is actively involved in clubs, house competitions, and the organisation of events, activities, and outings throughout the semester.
Students are encouraged to contact or visit the Student Affairs office whenever support or guidance is needed.

Students may arrange their own accommodation or benefit from Abu Dhabi Hospitality Academy – Les Roches exclusive partnership with the Rotana hotel group, which offers three hotel options ranging from three to four stars.
All three partner hotels are situated in the heart of Abu Dhabi’s business district, within walking distance of the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC). Downtown Abu Dhabi and Yas Island are a short drive away, and Zayed International Airport is approximately 20 minutes from the properties.

Student-training restaurants and food outlets offer restaurant-quality cuisine prepared by students under the guidance of experienced faculty, combining culinary excellence with practical education.

Important note: Students with severe allergies must declare them in their medical documentation and inform campus teams upon arrival to ensure appropriate care and safety measures are in place.
