To ensure a smooth online learning experience, make sure your laptop is updated with the latest Software specifications

Lost luggage
Should you lose your luggage, please report this to the authorities within the airport immediately as per their standard procedure. You must provide them with the name, phone number and address of the school campus where you will stay, so that they can deliver the luggage directly to you once it has been retrieved.
Practical information
Languages
Switzerland has four national languages: German, French, Italian, and Romansh. Only German, French, and Italian hold equal status as official languages within the Federal Administration.
Regions are divided linguistically: the German-speaking (Deutschschweiz) is in the north and center, French-speaking (Romandie) in the west, and Italian-speaking (Svizzera Italiana) in the south. A small Romansh-speaking population resides in Graubünden in the east. The Les Roches campus is in the French-speaking part of Switzerland.
Weather
During your two-week stay, you can expect autumn temperatures ranging from a high of around 14°C during the day to lows of approximately 2°C in the evenings.

Switzerland uses Central European Time (CET), which is GMT+1. We are currently 1 hour behind the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
Currency
The Swiss Franc (CHF) is Switzerland's monetary unit, divided into 100 cents. Currency can be easily exchanged at airports, railway stations, banks, and hotels, with the best rates typically at airports, stations, and banks. Hotels often have the lowest rates and may charge additional fees for exchanges, as do banks.

During your stay, you will have access to our Wi-Fi in all areas of the campus.

Health, Safety & Wellbeing
If you fall ill during the residential week, the Health & Wellbeing Team can assist with arranging a doctor’s appointment. Ensure you have appropriate health and accident insurance to cover medical costs. Campus security ensures safety, and our community maintains a no-drugs policy and a smoke-free campus (except in designated areas).
Professional Etiquette
Our diverse community includes over 1,000 students from more than 90 nationalities. Respect cultural diversity to avoid offending others. Adapt to service industry standards, as some personal views or presentations may require moderation. Professional etiquette is vital for community life and careers in hospitality and tourism, and the school emphasizes this strongly.
Dietary Restrictions
Inform the school before arrival if you have dietary restrictions for medical or religious reasons.
Money and Valuables
Private insurance for damage or theft of personal property is recommended, as the school is not liable for valuables left in rooms, public areas, or storage spaces. Use individual safety deposit boxes in your room and avoid keeping large amounts of money in bedrooms. Keep bags secure outside class hours.
Electrical Appliances
Swiss outlets require 220 volts and three-pin hexagonal plugs. A transformer or adapter may be needed and can be purchased locally. Turn off all electrical devices, including lights, when leaving the room to save energy and support the environment.
Security
Safety Officers and a private security company patrol the school grounds to ensure safety.

If you haven’t yet booked your accommodation, we’ve compiled a list of recommended options near our campus. We encourage you to make your reservation as soon as possible, as availability is limited.

Kindly note that rates do not include CHF3 stay tax per adult per night.
